Frequently asked questions
Life coaching is a collaborative relationship between a trained coach and a client that helps the client achieve personal, professional, or life goals. Coaching focuses on the present. During the call, we will discuss your goals, explore what is weighing on your heart with regard to your goals, and together assess how to overcome any obstacles in order for you to move forward.
My studies provide an understanding of the human person from a Catholic anthropology framework. I trained as a coach through Metanoia Catholic. I hold a Master's degree in Pastoral Theology with a concentration in Spiritual Direction at Holy Apostles College & Seminary. I live a Christ-centred and sacramental life. Each coaching session will begin with a short prayer to invite the Holy Spirit and the Blessed Virgin Mary to lead the conversation.
No, coaching is not the same as counselling or therapy. Coaching is forward looking and helps you navigate life and find creative and practice solutions to move forward. Counselling and therapy often deals with past trauma or mental health issues. Coaching is not a substitute for professional mental health care or medical care and is not intended to diagnose, treat or cure any mental health or medical conditions.
